An Autumn Night Sitting with Friends
又到秋色佳赏时
To lood at the colors this time of year is good.
于餐小屋观景最
To look at them while dining in a penthouse is even better.
开窗再取新明月
We open the window and peak at the new crescent moon
热茶尽去心中忧
And let simmered tea wash down our old worries.
恬聚咏歌共餐兴
The bunch of us linger, undisturbed, singing for our supper.
不觉闲人此处有
There are no other customers around.
虽是简衣伴风寒
It's cold and we're all in threadbare robes;
伴灯围坐智谈中
But still we "pass around the lamp" of witty conversation
勇论今冬到来日
And a little too bravely discuss the coming winter.

苦雨浸透着燃火的干柴堆。
Bitter rain soaks the pile of kindling twigs.
夜如此般冷静灯火难再随。
The night so cold and still the lamp flame hardly moves.
浓云密雾围湿了石墙小屋。
Clouds condense and drench our stone walled hut.
门前芦苇小已碎草铺阻。
Broken rushes clog the reed gate's way.
溪水汩汩，急流追。
The stream gurgles, a torrent in its bed.
闻此声声。难寻，人语回……
That's all we hear. Only rarely, comes a human voice...
啊，谱满心中的宁静最是珍贵，
But oh, how priceless is this peace of mind that fills us
如同再披上禅服冥心坐跪！
As we sit on our heels and put on another Chan monk's robe!
力求离开这疯狂野蛮的地方，
Striving to leave the wilderness
你已变的多么疯狂。
You become part of what's wild.
力求终止贪婪的欲望，
Striving to cease grasping
这本身就是贪婪
Is, itself, grasping.
该如何摆脱自身去超凡脱俗呢？
So how do you gain control and get beyond desire?
睁开双眼，你早已明了。
Open those eyes... the ones that were born in your own skull.
我们寻乐穿越于山岭。
We went up across the ridge for the fun of it.
美酒不再随行驶。
Didn't need to pack any more wine.
峭壁上，盛开的花在微笑。
On the precipice, flowers opened, smiling.
大江旁，勃勃柳树在飘摇。
By the river, willows grew bright.
乡村的炊烟凝结细雨中，如此缥缈。
In the drizzling rain the village smoke congealed, concealed.
闻那轻风看那表草。
The wind was slight and the grass was cool.
林间丛中，惊响，
There in the woods' underbrush, startled,
忽闻此吠声。
We suddenly heard a dog bark.<
可见师父已知道我们的行踪了。
It wanted us to know the Master was aware.
你为追寻达摩已绕行了一万步。
You've traveled up ten thousand steps in search of the Dharma.
日夜在卷室里，誊写，誊写。
So many long days in the archives, copying,copyng.
唐朝的庄重和宋代的渊博
The gravity of the Tang and the profundity of the Sung
带来如此沉重的包袱。

这里！我为你采来一束野花。
Here! I've picked you a bunch of wildflowers.
意思也是一样的。<
Their meaning is the same.
然而它们却是如此轻易相伴。
but they're much easier to carry.
春 雨
Spring Rain
漫长的雨季――这是春天的呼唤。
Long rains - that's the real start of Spring.
你看四周――不论远近――
Everywhere you look - near or far-
万物都是那样的清新。
Everything is fresh and new.
冷淡的山岭披上了春色。
The cold grey mountain takes on delicate colors.
石阶被洗的一尘不染。
The stone steps os washed not a speck of dust remains.
杨柳的心愿依然：
The Willows have decide on their sole purpos:
多姿地轻抚着你的双眼。
To soothe your eyes with beauty.
花儿仍在睡梦中。
The flowers are still sleeping.
含苞未放。
They haven't opened their lips to reveal anything.
那石阶边上已长出缕缕青草。
There's extra grass growing at the edge of the steps.
欣欣向荣。当你步近，
It's so eager to please. When you step on it,
她轻轻地变下，又弹了起来，
It yields gently, then springs back,
就像为你鞠躬。
As if it had merely boweb to you.
